That’s amore!

Yesterday was great and surprising! Ieri è stato un giorno fantastico e sorprendente! Yesterday morning Pie and I arrived in Rome, while it was raining. “Doesn’t matter” we said, but we thought that it could better if there was the sun. We spent the whole day walking and seeing a lot of monuments, such as Coliseum, the Arch of Constantine and the beautiful sculpture of the ecstasy of Santa Teresa in the church Santa Maria della Vittoria. This church is amazing, such a symbol of the baroque and Santa Teresa… wow! The drapery of her clothes points out how great was the ecstasy of the Holy Teresa. This sculpture impressed me a lot. After we visited San Pietro in Vincoli, we went out of the church and the air shone of the light of the sun: the weather has made us a nice surprise 😀 and we took the opportunity to take some pictures. Ieri mattina Pie ed io siamo arrivati a Roma, mentre stava piovendo. “Non importa” abboamo detto, ma entrambi stavamo pensando che sarebbe stato sicuramente meglio se ci fosse stato il sole. Abbiamo passato tutta quanta la giornata passeggiando e guardando i monumenti, come il Colosseo, l’Arco di Costantino e la bellissima scultura dell’estasi di Santa Teresa nella chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria. La chiesa è straordinaria, un simbolo del Barocco e Santa Teresa… wow! Il panneggio dei vestiti evidenzia tantissimo quanto l’estasi della santa fosse forte. Questa scultura mi ha parecchio colpito e merita senza ombra di dubbio di essere vista. Dopo che abbiamo visitato San Pietro in Vincoli , siamo usciti fuori e l’aria brillava della luce del sole: il tempo ci ha fatto una gran bella sorpresa 😀 e ne abbiamo approfittato per fare qualche foto.
